Privacy Policy
Learn what Kiseki stores locally, what Lemon Squeezy handles during checkout, and how to contact us about billing or support data.
Last Updated: November 10, 2025
1. What We Collect
- App-Local License Details. When you activate Kiseki Standard or Lifetime, the app stores the license key, instance identifier, and related status metadata locally on your Mac. Sensitive values are kept in the macOS Keychain.
- Support Emails. Messages sent to [email protected] are retained for troubleshooting.
- Crash Reports. Release builds may send crash and unexpected-error diagnostics, such as app version, operating system version, stack traces, and scrubbed error messages.
Kiseki does not transmit gesture data, shortcuts, or clipboard contents. Crash reports are configured not to send license keys, activation tokens, email addresses, or local user paths. The website may use privacy-focused aggregate analytics provided by Cloudflare to understand page traffic and performance.
2. On-Device Storage
- Gesture presets and app rules are stored locally on your Mac.
- Trial information and activation status are stored using macOS-provided secure storage.
- Deleting the app does not automatically remove Keychain entries. Use “Reset License” inside Settings > License if you are migrating devices.
3. How We Use Information
- Validate and activate licenses (Standard subscription, Lifetime license, or Setapp entitlement).
- Link you to Lemon Squeezy checkout or customer-portal pages when you choose a billing action.
- Respond to support tickets or refund requests.
4. Third-Party Processors
- Lemon Squeezy. Secure checkout, subscription billing, customer-portal hosting, and license issuance. Policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
- Cloudflare. Static hosting and privacy-focused aggregate website analytics, when enabled in repository configuration, for page traffic and performance. Policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Sentry. Crash and unexpected-error reporting for release app builds, when configured. Policy: sentry.io/privacy
- Apple (Setapp). When you launch Kiseki with
LICENSE_MODE=setapp, Setapp validates your subscription. Setapp’s own privacy terms apply.
5. Data Retention
Kiseki does not keep a self-hosted billing database. License metadata stored by the app remains on your Mac until you deactivate, reset the app’s local license state, or remove the app and its Keychain entries. Support threads may be kept as long as needed to resolve billing or technical issues.
6. Your Rights
- Request a copy or deletion of information you sent to us directly through support.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through Lemon Squeezy’s customer portal.
- Opt out of support follow-ups at any time.
7. Changes
If we update this policy, we will bump the “Last Updated” date and summarize changes inside the release notes.
